[WhoAmI] Self Introduction

Leo Zhang

In 2011，I went to Nanjing University and later got bachelor degree of Communication Engineering. Then, I got master degree of Software Engineering in Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Post-graduation, I have been working on big data R&D in some companies includes ByteDance, Kuaishou inc. successively. Focus on the modern intelligent BI systems, and has R&D experience in big data process and analysis as a team tech leader.

Data Analysis
- Responsible for the query optimization of company's BI system, based on Apache Calcite to achieve RBO, CBO general SQL optimization, improve query performance. Develop slow query diagnosis and acceleration tools, build query time-consuming portrait features with OLAP engine, automatically attribute slow query SQL and recommend performance improvement solutions.
- Lead, design, and implement a web service which can train and serve model in one place. It provides RESTful API for BI system to develop advanced analysis scenarios with its What-If, Clustering algorithms. The framework is extensible for fast prototyping and benchmark when developing new algorithms. It can scale horizontally and meet low latency requirement of OLAP software.
Data production
- Develop general-purpose scheduler system, SQL query system. Improve these products maintenance, robustness, usability, and scalability. I also lead the R&D on federated learning modeling system, BI system. Design the architecture, and implement some core functions.
- Implement and operate a real-time computing platform. The platform governs the life cycle of Flink jobs and provides logs tracing, monitor and alerting. Besides those, it also manages clusters of Flink, Kafka, and Yarn so that jobs can be executed on different clusters of Hadoop and versions of Flink. Cluster has hundreds of machines, 10000 cores and 10 TB memories.
